Dear Children, Parents and Carers,
Whilst I am unable to say hello to you all in the playground, as I usually do when you arrive at school in the morning, I will say hello here for the time being.
First of all, I hope that you are all well - our health is the most important thing and we must all take care to protect it. I hope that you are making good choices at home, as I know you do brilliantly at school. Hopefully you are reading every day, completing the tasks your teachers are setting on Google Classroom or from the home learning menus and getting outside for some fresh air and exercise once a day too.
It's also important to remember to look after our emotional wellbeing, especially if we are worried about things that are happening in the world at the moment, so please do talk to your family members if you are ever feeling anxious or missing your friends. They will help to reassure you that life will get back to normal soon.
If you can't access the work online easily, don't worry, we will try to help. Please email the school at:
We are now beginning to welcome more children back into school from Year 6, Year 1 and Reception. We have completed a risk assessment to identify the safety measures we must put in place to protect the safety of children, staff and parents and carers. Please contact the office if you would like a copy of our risk assessment.
As always, do remember our Sherwood Values, be respectful and kind and complete your learning tasks as best you can. I will be communicating with your teachers weekly via Zoom and I look forward to finding out how you have been getting on.
I continue to write my weekly bulletin, which you will find under the Parents menu on this website. You will find lots of other important information under the Parents menu too.
Take care of yourselves and your families and I hope to see some of you back at school soon.
With lots of love,
