We are all committed to supporting the Sherwood School in providing the very best education possible for each of the children, to enable them to reach their full academic potential. The Governing Board meets formally four times a year and governors regularly visit the school. The Governing Board at present has two committees, each with terms of reference to carry out statutory functions, and each of these committees meet three times a year.
The Business Committee has a remit to take a strategic role in the financial management of the school, and in ensuring that the buildings and premises of the school provide a safe and high quality learning environment.
The Teaching, Learning and Community Committee has a remit to take a strategic role in ensuring that the school provides high quality teaching and learning, which leads to the best outcomes for all pupils. It is also responsible for ensuring that a rich and vibrant curriculum is available throughout the school, so that every pupil has the opportunity to reach their full potential in every aspect of their school life.
