Philosophy For Children
We are delighted to share with you the exciting news that we are introducing a new thinking skills approach into our school’s curriculum called Philosophy for Children – P4C for short. The aim is to encourage the whole school community to ask questions and think really hard about important things in life.
In regular P4C sessions, your child will be asking questions, taking turns to share ideas, expressing opinions, hearing other points of view, and justifying what they think. They will be encouraged and learn to develop excellent listening skills, concentrate on following a line of argument, and choose words carefully to explain their thinking.
