Welcome to The Sherwood School

Choosing the right primary school for your children is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent and we welcome your interest in our school. We aim to promote the wellbeing and safety of children and to ensure they are offered the best opportunities that we can provide.

At The Sherwood, we want every child's experience to be a happy and positive one and for them to make the best possible progress in all aspects of learning. Our focus is on making sure our pupils have a firm foundation in the core areas of maths and English - and on making sure they have fun whilst doing so!

Our aim is to promote the development of children's confidence through the Expressive Arts. Music is at the heart of our school, with every child learning the rudiments of music through singing, movement and instrumental lessons provided by specialists from Merton Music Foundation and Artis.

Through our creative and language-rich curriculum, our work as a Gold Rights Respecting school, as a Philosophy for Children school, and in our sporting and House activities, we ensure every day brings new and exciting challenges.
